iPhone 6 review
Reviewing an iPhone is a curious endeavor. One might think it’s just like reviewing any other device, and the processes are indeed roughly the same. The difference, and it is a vast difference, is the purpose.
When reviewing a smartphone, a pair of shoes, a computer, a car, a movie or even a toaster, the purpose is generally to use experience and expertise to assist readers, or viewers, in making a buying decision. Even small gadget blogs can influence thousands or tens of thousands of people. A site like BGR influences millions and a large media organization can influence tens of millions of people.
But with iPhones, this simply is not the case.

Even more iPhone 6 reports detail one of its most important features
Unlike previous iPhone generations, the iPhone 6 will pack an NFC chip that will offer users access to wireless payments and possibly other neat NFC-related tricks, a feature that has only been available on smartphones running other operating systems so far. After a Wired story on Thursday confirmed the NFC features of the iPhone 6 – something previous components leaks also hinted at before – reports from The Financial Times and well-known insider John Gruber have further detailed Apple’s NFC plans for the iPhone.

Watch Gotham fall in the latest Batman: Arkham Knight gameplay trailer
We got a pretty good look at Batman: Arkham Knight in the initial cinematic trailer, but if the latest gameplay footage is anything to go by, the final entry in the Arkham series is poised to benefit greatly from its transition to the new generation of consoles. One of the most enticing additions to Arkham Knight is the Batmobile, Batman's trusty tank which also appeared in the very first image of the upcoming Batman vs. Superman movie. In the new trailer, we get to see just how versatile the vehicle is as it smashes through traffic, scales the side of a tunnel and launches Batman into the air.

Here are the best tricks that every Galaxy S5 owner needs to know
Congratulations on buying your shiny new Galaxy S5 — now you may be interested in learning how to make it live up to its full potential. Thankfully, Droid Life has put together a truly terrific list of 10 ways you can make the Galaxy S5 even better and it includes some terrific tips for everything from improving the device’s typing functionality to reducing the load of Samsung’s ever-present bloatware.
The entire guide is worth reading on its own, but some of the highlights that jumped out at us detailed how you can vastly improve the Galaxy S5′s keyboard by downloading a third-party app such as Swiftkey; how to shut off the bloatware that both Samsung and mobile carriers have installed onto your device; how to use Toolbox, one of the Samsung preloaded apps that you’ll actually want to use; how to make animations on the device less laggy by adjusting the settings; and how to increase that Galaxy S5′s touch sensitivity so it will work better even if it’s raining outside.
Droid Life has always been very good at taking a deep look at every little new cool feature you can find in new Android phones and we were also recently impressed by their video showing off all of the best features of the HTC One (M8).

Here’s how the iPhone 6 might really hurt Apple this summer
Apple's iPhone 6 is without a doubt on of the most hotly anticipated smartphone launches of 2014. A dozen or so independent reports suggest that the handset will feature a new larger 4.7-inch display and a fresh new design that is thinner than ever. The iPhone 6 is also expected to be accompanied by a new iPhone phablet that will include a 5.5-inch screen to help attract new business over from the Android camp.
If the reports we have been reading even come close to representing the handsets Apple actually launches this fall, we can likely expect the company to crush the sales records it set last fall when the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c debuted. According to one industry watcher, however, we can also likely expect the iPhone's market share to take a bigger than normal hit in the quarters that precede the iPhone 6's release.
