Airport security is supposed to prevent individuals with malicious intentions from entering or leaving a country, but that doesn’t mean all security measures used in airports are fool-proof. In fact, WikiLeaks has published not one, but two internal CIA documents that teach agents how to act and what to do in order to make sure they’re able to fool airport security while traveling from country to country using fake passports, and how to keep their cover intact in the process.

Square Announces Plans to Begin Accepting Apple Pay in 2015
"We're not building a credit card. We're not building a payment device. We're building a [cash] register, and this register accepts all these forms of payments," Dorsey told CNN in an interview.
While the existing Square Reader can process credit card payments via an iPad or iPhone, the hardware is not equipped to handle the wireless transactions required by Apple Pay. In order to support Apple's mobile payment technology, Square will need to introduce all new hardware with built-in NFC connectivity.
Apple Pay launched last month alongside iOS 8.1 and is available only in U.S. with global expansion planned in the future. The payment service is supported by a number of large retailers, major banks and restaurants including the recently added Disney Store, Sephora, SunTrust Bank, and Levi's Stadium,.

Apple Disallows Previously Approved Calculator Widgets for iOS 8 Notification Center
Apple's sudden decision to disallow PCalc's previously approved widget is somewhat surprising as the app is featured in multiple places in the App Store, including a section called "Extend Your Apps" featuring apps with unique widgets, and "Great Apps and Games for iOS 8," which also features a selection of Notification Center widgets.
Apple has told me that Notification Center widgets on iOS cannot perform any calculations, and the current PCalc widget must be removed.
— James Thomson (@jamesthomson) October 29, 2014
PCalc was one of the first apps to be updated for iOS 8 and along with being featured on MacRumors in a list of apps with Notification Center integration, it was lauded for its convenient and unique use of the Notification Center in App Store reviews and in iOS 8 coverage from a variety of sites.
Apple appears to have some fairly strict guidelines governing the proper usage of Notification Center widgets. PCalc is not the first app that's facing the removal of its widget, as Apple previously pulled Launcher from the App Store. Launcher installed a Notification Center widget that provided access to quick actions like making a phone call, opening a pre-defined Maps route, or sending a tweet.
Apple's App Extension guidelines do clearly state that Notification Center widgets should have a "simple, streamlined UI," a limited number of interactive items, and specifies that a widget is "not a mini version" of an app, but it does not appear to expressly disallow calculations. There's also a Pcalc app for OS X Yosemite that brings similar functionality to the desktop Notification Center and it is unclear whether Apple will also require the removal of that widget.
For the time being, PCalc can be downloaded from the App Store for $9.99, with access to the Notification Center widget included. [Direct Link]

After previewing OS X 10.10 Yosemite this past summer during its annual WWDC developer conference, Apple finally released its new desktop software to an eager public last week. Yosemite features a complete visual overhaul and plenty of new functionality as well, but the most talked-about new feature set is definitely Continuity, which is a series of features that integrate Mac computers more deeply with iPhones and iPads.

The ultimate ATM heist still works, has netted hackers ‘millions of dollars’
In early January, and then again in March, reports detailed some smart ATM attacks that allowed hackers to steal money from malware-infected ATMs without requiring any access to the credit or debit cards used by customers. Instead, hackers managed to steal cash directly from the bank, after taking over the machines with special programs. This ultimate heist appears to still be working, The Register reports, as hackers are still using the practice that has netted them “millions of dollars.”

British spies can remotely ‘Smurf’ your iPhone and Android phone
Unsurprisingly, it’s not just the NSA that can hack iPhones and other mobile devices in order to retrieve data that may be relevant to an investigation. New documentation provided to The Guardian by former NSA contractor turned whistleblower Edward Snowden shows that the British GCHQ agency is also rather skilled in the art of remotely obtaining data from iOS devices and Android smartphones.

How much am I willing to let Google stalk me?
As I've mentioned before I've long been a user and fan of many of Google's services. Android is my mobile operating system of choice, I think Chrome provides the best browsing experience on both desktop and mobile, and there's not a mapping service on the planet that can touch Google Maps. However, I've long known that using Google services is a Faustian bargain of sorts: In exchange for getting all sorts of wonderful data and information about the world, Google will get all sorts of data and information about me.
