I have bought and returned an iPhone 6 Plus 10 times, please send help

It's entirely possible this could be classified as an actual mental illness. But there's just something about the iPhone 6 Plus that draws me in about a week after I switch back to my iPhone 6. It goes something like this...

There's nothing wrong with the iPhone 6. It's the best smartphone not only in the world, but ever made. It's gorgeous, it's luxury-level premium, it's the phone Apple wishes they could have made 7 years ago — it is completely perfect. Though, as someone who has always bought the best available iPhone, it kind of hurts that there's one a bit better. Better is a relative term, obviously, but the screen on the iPhone 6 Plus is just perfection with its higher resolution display, and it's entirely noticeable to me. There's also optical image stabilization in the camera, though that's not the biggest deal as the regular iPhone's camera is a joy. You also get a bigger battery with the iPhone 6 Plus.

Aaron Sorkin on Jobs Biopic: Casting Announcement Imminent, 'Heroine' Will Be Daughter Lisa

In a new interview with The Independent , screenwriter Aaron Sorkin shares a few more details regarding his upcoming movie about Steve Jobs, noting that while there is no word on who will play the leading role yet, an announcement is imminent.

Leonardo DiCaprio and, more recently, Christian Bale, pulled out, the latter because of the sheer demands of the role: “It’s a 181-page script, about 100 of it is that one character,” says Sorkin. The frontrunner is now believed to be Michael Fassbender. Sorkin, today, can confirm only that an announcement is imminent.

As previously shared by Sorkin, the film will focus on three 30-minute scenes showing Jobs backstage before the announcement of the Mac, NeXT, and the iPod.



Sorkin also reveals in the new interview that the character of Jobs' daughter Lisa will play a major role as the "heroine" of the film. Lisa Brennan-Jobs had declined to contribute to Walter Isaacson's authorized biography of her father while he was alive, but has worked with Sorkin on the screenplay for the film.

“[I]in the case of Steve Jobs, it’s the relationships he had – particularly with his daughter, Lisa – that drew me to it,” he says. Jobs initially denied paternity of his daughter, now 36, though they later reconnected and she lived with him in her teens. “She didn’t participate in Walter Isaacson’s book, because her father was alive at the time, and she didn’t want to alienate either of her parents, so I was very grateful that she was willing to spend time with me,” says Sorkin. “She is the heroine of the movie.”

Sorkin's Jobs film does not yet have a release date, but with Slumdog Millionaire director Danny Boyle on board and casting starting to firm up, things are clearly moving forward.

Staples and Radio Shack to Offer Modest Black Friday Discounts on iPads, iPods, and More

Customers looking for discounts on Apple products this Black Friday have two more retailers to add to their shopping lists -- Staples and Radio Shack. Black Friday discount website BFads recently published leaked sales flyers from both retailers in advance of the biggest shopping day of the year.





Staples is offering discounts on a variety of Apple gear, including $80 off the 16GB iPad Air WiFi ($319), $60 off the Retina iPad mini 2 ($239), $70 off the iPad with Retina Display ($279) and $20 off the Apple TV ($79). The office supplier also is taking 10 percent off all Beats by Dr Dre headphones and 15 percent off all iTunes gift cards of $50 or more. As an added bonus, customers with an iPhone 6 or 6 Plus can save time during checkout by using Apple Pay.





Radio Shack isn't offering any discounts on iPad or iPhone models, but the retailer still is lowering prices on the Apple TV ($85), iPod Touch 16GB 5th generation ($149), and iTunes gift cards (15 percent off). Other Apple-related items going on sale include the Beats Solo HD Drenched headphones ($69.99 After Mail-in Rebate) and a variety of Apple iPhone and iPad accessories.

How Sony plans to make the PS4 even more popular

Sony has announced a new product that could make its consoles even more popular with customers: the PlayStation Vue cloud-based TV and on-demand content streaming service. PlayStation Vue will be available in the U.S. at some point in the first quarter of 2015, Reuters reports, at which point users will be able to watch both live TV and on-demand content on their PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 consoles without requiring an separate pay TV subscription.

NYT: iPad Pro ‘not yet finished,’ not even considered ‘official’ at Apple

For most of the year, reports detailing a bigger 12.9-inch iPad, often referred to as the “iPad Pro,” offered contradicting views on Apple’s tablet plans. Some said Apple is indeed working on a bigger tablet, but others said the project has been shelved. T-Mobile Targets Tablets: LTE Models for Price of Wi-Fi, Bonus Free Data Through 2014

T-Mobile US, which has been shaking up the cellular industry in the United States with a series of promotions and policy changes, today made several announcements intended to attract tablet customers to the carrier. There are two key pieces to the initiative:



- LTE tablets for the price of Wi-Fi: Under Apple's standard pricing, LTE iPad models are priced $130 higher than their Wi-Fi equivalents, but T-Mobile's limited time promotion will allow customers to purchase an LTE iPad from the carrier at Wi-Fi pricing.

If you’re stuck on Wi-Fi, you can now come to T-Mobile and upgrade to a 4G LTE-enabled model for nothing down and pay no more than you’d pay for the cheaper Wi-Fi-only model, with any postpaid activation on a 1GB or more mobile internet plan with no annual service contract. For example, pay the Wi-Fi price of $499 instead of $630 for the 4G LTE-enabled 16GB iPad Air.

24-month interest-free financing with zero money down is also available for qualified customers.





- Bonus 1GB of free data per month through 2014: T-Mobile already offers a free 200 MB data package for tablet owners, and with today's announcement, T-Mobile voice customers can receive an additional 1 GB of free data per month through the end of the year.

And, for both new and existing customers, T-Mobile is offering $10 off its most popular internet data plans starting April 12th through the end of 2014. For voice customers, what that means is you can get up to 1GB of 4G LTE data free every month through the end of the year. Combined with the 200 MB of free data you already automatically get every month with T-Mobile’s previously announced “Free Data for Life” offer that comes to nearly 1.2GB of free 4G LTE data every month through the end of 2014. If you love living beyond the Wi-Fi zone – and want to keep enjoying that tablet freedom beyond 2014 – you can get it starting at just $10 a month with voice service next year.

T-Mobile also continues to offer its ETF buyouts, allowing customers stuck on service contracts with another carrier to trade-in their devices and receive credits for the termination fees paid to the other carrier.

Titanfall 2 has reportedly been picked up by EA, could appear on PS4

Titanfall, the biggest online FPS of 2014 so far, has done more than just live up to the hype, it's given EA an incentive to publish the sequel. GameSpot reports that EA has secured the rights for Titanfall 2 based on the performance of the first title, which helped double Xbox One sales in the UK earlier this month. EA was unwilling to comment on this rumor from GameSpot's "reputable source."

Sony announces details for upcoming PlayStation 4 updates
