Where To See The Interview

Sony Pictures Entertainment's "The Interview" has become the most hyped movie of 2014. The buzz doesn't stem from the film itself — in fact, critics weren't terribly impressed with the film when they reviewed it. Instead, the hype stems from the fact that The Interview spurred a massive hack of Sony's internal network that the Federal Bureau of Investigation believes was perpetrated by hackers with ties to North Korea.

Why would hackers attack Sony over a movie? The Interview stars Seth Rogen and James Franco as a pair of reporters who conspire to kill North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un, and North Korea has gone on record in calling the film an "act of war."

Well unfortunately for North Korea and the Sony hackers, whoever they may be, Sony is reversing its earlier decision and releasing The Interview tomorrow on Christmas Day. And now, we have a full list of theaters that will be showing the movie.

Hyundai today confirmed that it will showcase its new CarPlay-enabled Display Audio system next month at CES 2015. Display Audio is a dash-installed color touchscreen display that supports the latest in-car handsfree technology.

Apple CarPlay integration on Hyundai's new Display Audio system

Hyundai's Display Audio forgoes built-in navigation and CD player features, instead including support for Apple's CarPlay and Android Auto to allow drivers to make phone calls, listen to music, send messages, and get directions using the car's in-dash display. The system also integrates with the voice command button on the steering wheel, providing drivers with an easy way to launch Siri Eyes Free commands.
“Hyundai will offer more technology than ever before inside affordable Hyundai models, allowing owners not only to text message through voice commands and stream their favorite music apps, but also to make calls in a safer way, and navigate using phone-based, off-board navigation through the car’s screen and controls,” said Cason Grover, senior group manager, cross-carline planning, Hyundai Motor America. “As affordable car buyers are often younger, Hyundai aims to provide what they want most in their car – all the latest smartphone-enabled technologies at a lower price.”

Hyundai plans to roll out the Display Audio system with CarPlay support in select 2016 Hyundai models, which debut later in 2015. The system then will become the default head unit across the company's automobile lineup.

Hyundai was among five brands of automobile manufacturers featured by Apple during its CarPlay announcement earlier this year. Following the CarPlay launch, Hyundai confirmed it would integrate CarPlay in its 2015 Sonata line, although the feature has yet to made available in those vehicles.

Galaxy Note 4 Specs

Samsung's Galaxy Note 4 was the most hotly anticipated phablet of the year until Apple came along last week and unveiled its first entry into the supersized smartphone market. Now, the iPhone 6 Plus has stolen the limelight and since it launches this Friday, it might even steal some sales away from Samsung's next-generation phablet as well; according to Samsung, the Galaxy Note 4 won't launch until sometime next month.

The upcoming new Galaxy Note 4 might not be generating quite as much buzz as Apple's iPhone 6 Plus anymore, but there's no question that it's still one of the few phones worth getting excited about this holiday season. For those of you still interested in the device, Samsung has released a new graphic that will tell you everything you need to know about its next-generation flagship phablet.

Microsoft Smartphone Tablet Sales

10 years ago, the thought of Microsoft being an underdog would be just as ludicrous as picking the Yankees to finish in last place or betting against a Jay-Z album going platinum. But after getting caught flat-footed by the Apple and Google-led mobile revolution, Microsoft can actually claim to be something of an underdog when it comes to the market for smartphones and tablets.
