Twitter for Mac Updated With Support for Multiple Photos and Photos in Messages [Mac Blog]

Twitter for Mac received its last major update in December 2013 in the form of a revamped look with some new features, and the app has finally received another update bringing support for several additional photo features. Among them is the ability to post and view up to four photos in a single Tweet, a feature rolled out for the service in general some six months ago.

This update brings new photo features to Twitter for Mac.

- View and post Tweets with as many as four photos (click each image preview to view the full photo)

- Share photos privately in Messages

- More performance improvements and bug fixes

Phones4U Cancels All iPhone 6 and 6 Plus Pre-orders as UK Retailer Faces Closure [iOS Blog]

UK retailer Phones4U confirmed today in a public statement that it is canceling all iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus pre-orders as the company enters administration, reports Huffington Post UK via Engadget . Administration allows a company to address its creditors as it attempts to rescue its business operations. Phones4U was forced to make this decision after UK mobile phone operators Vodafone and EE failed to renew their contracts with the retailer.





Phones4U has shut down its online store and closed its retail store operations as part of this administration process. The retailer is no longer accepting any new orders and canceling any existing orders that have not been shipped, including those for the new iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus. All payments for these canceled orders will be refunded to customers.

"Any orders that have not already been dispatched will be cancelled and any payments refunded to customers. Phones 4u apologise for any inconvenience."

Customers can still preorder an iPhone 6 or 6 Plus from Apple UK, but will face longer wait times as the delivery window for the two phones has slipped into October due to record-breaking demand. Customers also can wait in line and purchase a new iPhone 6 or 6 Plus when the handsets go on sale in retail stores starting Friday, September 19.

'NFL Now' Channel Coming to Apple TV Later This Month

While many NFL fans have been hoping the Sunday Ticket subscription service will make its way to the Apple TV someday, the league appears set to make its first foray onto the set-top box with an upcoming NFL Now channel, reports 9to5Mac .





Announced earlier this year for a launch this month, NFL Now is a personalized digital video library of on-demand news, features, highlights and more, as well as live streaming of press conferences and other events, but not games. The new service will be launching across a number of platforms later this month as the 2014 NFL season begins, but Apple TV support had not been confirmed.



Sports content has been a major theme for Apple TV content, with MLB.tv, NBA League Pass, NHL GameCenter, and MLS Live subscription services all available on the platform. Other sports channels on Apple TV include Watch ESPN, action sports channel Red Bull TV, college-focused ACC + Campus Insiders, and cricket channel Willow.
