LG's second banana phone will be more than just a banana phone. We have already discussed why the first round of smartphones that utilize flexible displays isn't terribly impressive, but LG's second phone with a flexible panel will reportedly be a completely different story. According to a report from ZDNet Korea , LG is currently developing a sequel to its G Flex smartphone that won't just sport a slight curve, the entire device will be bendable. The report states that LG's upcoming flexible phone will bend up to 90 degrees without breaking, and it will represent an important step on the road to smartphones that are completely foldable. LG's bendable G Flex sequel will debut sometime in 2014 ahead of any similar offering Samsung might be working on, according to the report.

Love them or hate them, the people at Apple have found a way to make their products culturally relevant, extremely profitable and apparently worth waiting in long lines for. Each year a new iteration on an old product gets fans clamoring for upgrades, but what has to happen inside the Apple Campus in Cupertino to keep up a run like this? iPad 5 and Retina iPad mini launch date revealed?

The release of Apple's next-generation iPad and iPad mini tablets is just over two weeks away, according to a new report. Apple always launches its mobile devices shortly after unveiling them and since the company's iPad event is scheduled to take place on October 22nd, it stands to reason that the new products Apple unveils will launch the following week. A new report from French blog MacG , which has a decent track record when reporting Apple rumors, suggests that this year's iPad launch might be a bit different than it has been in years past, but not much. According to the report, Apple's new full-size iPad and Retina iPad mini will launch later this month on either Wednesday, October 30th or Thursday, October 31st. If true, the launches would still occur the week after the new iPads are unveiled, but almost all of Apple's prior mobile device releases have taken place on a Friday.
