iPhone 6, Galaxy S5 Flexible Display

The iPhone 6 and Galaxy S5 will reportedly not have flexible displays, as some people may have expected, unnamed “industry sources” told The Korea Herald . Apparently Samsung is unable to mass-produce curved displays in sufficient numbers for its upcoming flagship device. “The current capacity for flexible panels is not high enough for the Galaxy S5, which will be rolled out early next year.” Eugene Investment & Securities analyst Kim Jong-hyun said. “Curved ones will be unveiled late next year as a Galaxy variant rather than as a flagship model.”

Microsoft rumored to have already picked next CEO

Microsoft New CEO Rumor

Anyone hoping Microsoft would pick an outsider to be its next CEO may be in for a big disappointment. Via CNET , an unnamed source tells Chinese blog WPDang that Microsoft has already decided to name current chief operating officer Kevin Turner to lead the company for two to three years before handing the reins over to former Nokia CEO Stephen Elop. This rumor is obviously very sketchy and CNET notes that "at this point, the company needs a CEO who can provide it with a long-term vision and direction." If this does happen, then it may be the case that Turner will show Elop the ropes of how to run a company as massive and complex as Microsoft for a few years while the two collaborate on a shared vision.

Apart from crack-huffing mayors and bordello-visiting pop stars, Canada must now face another abrupt reversal of fortune regarding its most important tech company, BlackBerry. Many would argue that it's no surprise BlackBerry did not find a buyer, but the 15% plunge in the company's share price on Monday morning suggests otherwise.
