Apple has gotten 2015 off to a resounding start, as the company said on Thursday that it shattered its record for weekly App Store sales in the first week of January 2015. Per Street Insider , Apple recorded nearly $500 million worth of sales for both apps and in-app purchases in just the first week of 2015 alone and Apple says that New Year's Day this year also broke its record for total app purchases in a single day.
