Microsoft sold 3 million Xbox One consoles in just over a month following the new video game console's debut this past November, but it probably would have sold even more boxes if its new Xbox were priced a bit cheaper. While the company may someday launch an Xbox One console that costs less than $499 — the Xbox 360 used two price points, after all — Microsoft has no plans to launch a $399 Xbox One with no optical drive this year.
